Company Intelligence

MAPFRE's listed Spanish parent sits above insurance operations across several regions and the separately identifiable MAPFRE RE business. Group earnings, regional reporting and reinsurer evidence can overlap economically without sharing the same legal or supervisory perimeter.

What to read first

The financial documentation centre leads to the annual report for the consolidated picture. The full-year presentation supplies management's period commentary, while the ratings page and Madrid exchange record answer narrower questions about rated entities and the listed share.

Reporting perimeter and reporting period

MAPFRE reports on a calendar-year basis and presents group amounts in EUR, but operating disclosures may be organised by region or business unit. MAPFRE RE figures concern the reinsurance operation and are not a substitute for totals reported by MAPFRE, S.A.

Group, legal-entity and subsidiary boundaries

MAPFRE, S.A. is the listed Spanish parent whose consolidated accounts define the MAPFRE group perimeter. MAPFRE RE is a separately identifiable reinsurance business within that group, while local operating insurers retain their own licences, statutory accounts and supervisory capital measures. Regional or business-unit results can combine several legal entities and therefore do not represent a single insurer's standalone position.

Interpretation notes and limitations

Presentation measures retain the issuer's definitions and denominator. Rating opinions attach to the companies shown by the agency, and exchange information says nothing about an insurer's solo capital position. Comparisons with another group need the same accounting period, currency conversion date and insurance-service basis.
